bite the hand that feeds tap the vein that bleeds down on my bended knees
Are you for fucking real?
“Fallen for two other people.” What exactly is wrong about having loved someone? And… who did Blaine love, exactly? Actually, I’m not even going to go there. There is nothing wrong with being loved by someone who’d loved someone else before.
“Told them how to raise him.” Was that what you got from their conversation? Seriously? When Burt told Blaine he was overstepping, he said it with a smile on his face. He knew Blaine wasn’t telling him how to raise Kurt or that he was a horrible dad (on the contrary, it just showed that Blaine loves Kurt’s relationship with his dad) but that he was worried about Kurt. He made a suggestion that ended up benefiting both Kurt and Burt.
“Fallen in love in only one episode.” He realized that he was in love in one episode. His feelings had been building up and amounting to more and more since he met Kurt. They’d known each other for months when he came to this realization. How long had Finn known Rachel when they first kissed?
“Triggered memories of his dead loved one.” Because Kurt was so obviously having a panic attack when he grabbed Blaine’s hand and smiled. Fuck you. Fuck you because you can’t just trivialize actual triggering experiences like that. Kurt must’ve talked to Blaine about his mom before, meaning that Blaine had seen how Kurt was when talking about it. He knew that merely mentioning it wasn’t going to make Kurt break down.
“Told him to be less of himself.” What? I’ve never understood this argument. “You’ll fit in [The Warblers] soon enough” is not in any way implying that Kurt should change who he is. The Warblers are a team and they have their own dynamic as one. They weren’t going to change it just because Kurt wasn’t used to it. Blaine was giving Kurt advice on how to adapt to this new dynamic, not telling him to change who he was. I can’t even.
“Tried to tell him how to perform.” When did this happen? If it did, see above.
“Said that he should watch porn.” Holy fuck. This is hilarious. When did Blaine tell Kurt that he should watch porn? That would’ve been priceless! Blaine offered to talk to Kurt about it for educational purposes, that is all. Kurt was the one who brought up “those movies.”
“Told him he wasn’t sexy.” He said that the facial expressions he was trying to pull off weren’t sexy. He didn’t say Kurt wasn’t sexy. Besides, don’t you tease your friends once in a while? He didn’t say it with a malicious intent and Kurt didn’t take it that way.
“Told him that his outfit to prom was too much.” He didn’t. That was Burt. Blaine agreed that Burt had a point, because well, he had the crap beaten out of him. That’s not something you easily forget. Blaine saw where Burt was coming from and tried to explain his point of view to Kurt. We don’t even know if he would’ve brought it up had Burt not put his input first. And even then, he went with Kurt to prom. In spite of his fear, he was there for Kurt. He was there when kids were cruel, just as he’d thought they’d be. He was there and he let Kurt know that he’d support him no matter what he decided to do (stay and be crowned or leave).
I don’t even know why this makes me so mad. It’s not about the ship. Don’t ship it? Fine. I don’t give a fuck. It’s about the way the hate is handled. Its justification is just ridiculous and it makes me wonder if people really don’t realize that their arguments are not arguments at all. (You don’t even fucking need an argument. Don’t ship it and leave it at that. Fuck.)
